In my retirement I have been doing a little volunteer work, primarily for the community supper our church hosts, and for our city's food shelf program, picking up and delivering vegetables for both organizations and working the kitchen for the community supper on Wednesday nights. I asked God to direct me to something a little more substantial to do with my time, and soon thereafter Pat Kunkel called and asked if I would be willing to meet and hear more about PEW35.

Pat explained what the ministry was, what the Lord was doing through it, and how he felt the Lord leading to expand the ministry. Anyway, long story short, I felt this was God's answer to my prayer for something more substantial I am now on the board and serve as the treasurer.

Dorothy and I do not have kids, but it is easy to see that our children are under attack in our schools and need the opportunities to stand with the truth and connect with other believing students. I believe the time is right for what this ministry is offering.

I am excited about the opportunity and to be a partner in this great work God has given us.
